This programme is intended to increase research capacity to improve health and healthcare, by developing people with the potential and aspiration to become leading clinical academics and independent researchers in the future.
NIHR ARC OxTV and Health Education England Clinical Internships 2022
Friday, 29 April 2022, 12am to 1am
The internship award programme supports research capacity building in applied health and care research in the region. These awards are intended to introduce people working within health or care organisations to research with the aim of supporting them to become leading independent researchers in the future.
Call for nominations – up to £1000 MHR Incubator Awards
Monday, 31 January 2022 to Friday, 04 March 2022, 12am - 5pm
What mental health research is making a difference in your field, profession, or organisation right now? The Mental Health Research Incubator wants to recognise the most impactful work in mental health research today. Nominate now for the chance to win an MHR Incubator Award of up to £1000 for the people, teams, or projects who are innovating through mental health research.
Introduction to interrupted time series analysis (ITSA) and segmented regression

This course will serve as an introduction to interrupted time series analysis (ITSA) including selection and setup of data sources, statistical analysis, interpretation and presentation, and identification of potential challenges. ***Free to staff working within health, social care, public health and the ARC within the Oxford and Thames Valley region***
Next Generation Leadership Programme

Oxford NIHR Leadership Training is available for translational researchers working in the Oxford BRC, Oxford Health BRC or ARC OxTV. Application Deadline: 21 Jan 2022 Event dates:11 March, 8 April, 13 May, 17 June, 15 July and 2 September 2022 9:30–16:30

Fellowships
Our Senior Fellows Award scheme recognises and supports individuals with the potential and trajectory to become future leaders in translational research. The Senior Fellows receive an award that can be used flexibly to facilitate their translational research programme and career development.

Internships
Our internship award programme supports research capacity building in applied health and care research in the region.
These awards are intended to introduce people working within health or care organisations to research with the aim of supporting them to become leading independent researchers in the future.

Short Courses
We offer a number of short courses available both as online or in person training throughout the year.
Examples include:
- Communications: Designing effective infographics, data viz and visual abstracts
- Communications: Tailoring your message to your audience
- Communications: Leveraging social media

The NIHR Academy
If you work with the ARC OxTV or receive any amount of funding from us, you could be eligible to be a part of the NIHR Academy, granting you access to unique awards, events and opportunities, including fellowship programmes, mentoring and career development training.
