Utilisation of Digital Health for Infertility
This research project focuses on the role of digital health in managing infertility, a key area within the expanding field of Femtech—technology aimed at improving women's health. It investigates how digital tools, such as fertility trackers, are transforming infertility care and patient experiences. Through a blend of interviews, policy analysis, and reviews, the project aims to understand the impact of these digital interventions on traditional healthcare pathways and explore broader issues of reproductive justice.
The findings will offer insights into the digitalisation of healthcare, shedding light on both the potential benefits and the challenges posed by privacy concerns and the commercialisation of reproductive data. Ultimately, the project seeks to provide actionable recommendations for patients, healthcare providers, and policymakers, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of digital health solutions in supporting individuals facing infertility challenges, while also considering the ethical implications of such technologies.
