Health Economic Aspects of Childhood Excess Weight
This project is about understanding the costs and impacts of childhood obesity in the UK. Obesity in children can lead to health problems. We want to work out how much childhood obesity costs the healthcare system and how it affects children's lives.
We will review existing research and use that data to estimate the risks of children becoming overweight and the costs involved. This information is important for doctors, policymakers, parents, and charities. It will help them make decisions about how to prevent childhood obesity and spend money wisely. We also talked to parents of at-risk children to get their input on our work, making sure we consider their experiences and needs. Our goal is to make a positive impact on children's health and save money for healthcare services.
