ARC OxTV Funding for Projects
What can be applied for
The proposals should align to one/ several of the overarching ARC priorities:
Develop new services addressing key NHS England and public health priorities
Lead evidence-based implementation regionally and nationally
Improve regional and national capacity to conduct, high-quality world-class health, public health and social care research
Improve health and care outcomes across the Oxford AHSN region
Provide high-quality evidence of clinical, population health and cost-effectiveness in the population.
Funding can be used to complement existing projects with new objectives, increasing the implementation readiness of a project or scope out new initiatives/projects.
It is desirable for projects to meet one or several of the following requirements:
Staff/ early career researcher development
Patient/ public/ community partnerships
Health inequalities focus
The inclusions of ARC members or span across multiple of the six ARC themes
How much can be applied for
Up to £10,000 can be requested for. If larger sums are required, please contact Paula Wray (paula.wray@phc.ox.ac.uk) before submission to discuss possibilities.
Who can apply
Anyone can submit a project proposal and be the project lead, irrespective of their career stage. You will require clear support from the ARC Theme Lead under which the project will mainly fall. The ARC team can help in introducing you to the lead.
The project lead will ideally be employed by one of the following ARC OxTV member organisations, however, if your organisation is not listed here but you’d like to apply, please contact Paula.Wray@phc.ox.ac.uk.

Selection process
All applications will be reviewed, including by our public contributors and comments, questions and recommendations communicated back to the team. The final decision lies with the ARC director, Richard Hobbs. We are aiming to fund 5 projects.

Outcome communicated: by Friday 27th January 2023
Funding to be spent the latest by: 31st March 2024
