The NIHR ARC OxTV provides funding or support for discrete projects and promotes the development of skills in producing, understanding and using evidence in the health and social care, and public health sectors.

We are currently offering two exciting funding opportunities to support health and care professionals and researchers in developing their research careers. All programmes start May 2025.
Research career development awards 2025: Preparing for NIHR funding success
For professionals preparing NIHR career development applications
Supporting ambitious researchers to develop competitive applications for NIHR career development schemes. Covers salary costs, mentoring, training, and public involvement activities. Open to healthcare professionals, social work and public health professionals, methodologists, and local authority researchers.
Research Career Development Awards 2025: Social care practitioners
Are you a social care professional interested in research?
The NIHR ARC OxTV is offering funding (up to £10,000) to support social care practitioners in the Thames Valley region to develop research skills. Awards can cover salary backfill, training costs, and research supervision. Applications close 25th April 2025. Build your research capacity while continuing your practice with mentorship and guidance from established researchers.

Duration: Up to 10 months (end march 2026)
