The NIHR ARC OxTV provides funding or support for discrete projects and promotes the development of skills in producing, understanding and using evidence in the health and social care, and public health sectors.

We are currently offering three exciting funding opportunities to support healthcare professionals and researchers in developing their research careers. All programmes start March 2025.
Research internships 2025: First steps into research for health and care professionals
Awards are open to any registered health, care, or public health professional working in the health or social care sector looking to start their research journey.
Offering up to £20,000 funding to experience research within established teams. Perfect for health, care and public health professionals wanting to combine clinical practice with research. Supports salary backfill, training, and supervision costs for up to 12 months.
Research into practice internships 2025: building research skills in health and care
Awards are open to any registered health, care, or public health professional working in the health or social care sector wanting to integrate research into their practice.
Providing £10,000 (plus £1,500 supervision costs) to support various research pathways including research delivery, implementation, and knowledge mobilisation. Ideal for those looking to develop research skills alongside their current role.
Research career development awards 2025: Preparing for NIHR funding success
For professionals preparing NIHR career development applications
Supporting ambitious researchers to develop competitive applications for NIHR career development schemes. Covers salary costs, mentoring, training, and public involvement activities. Open to healthcare professionals, social work and public health professionals, methodologists, and local authority researchers.
