Bio

Once upon a time a nurse in the NHS, then in public health.  Has run a consultancy business for over 25 years, and trained as a coach, before it was fashionable. Now semi-retired with a small number of coaching clients and enjoying contributing to research from a public perspective.

Why I am  involved in PPI:

I have benefitted from brilliant care and treatment for cancer in the NHS and my family has benefited from social care.  I wanted to give back something from my experience and interests.

Areas of interest:

Women’s Health, Dementia, Cancer, and how we do research (methods)
I am part of Theme 6 which focusses on using datasets to answer research questions and predict (model) the future.  I find this challenging and interesting.

Goals and Aspirations:

I am very interested in how research is shared and implemented in real life, this includes doing new things or doing things differently and stopping doing things that are not effective in healthcare.
